You cannot control the Outlanders directly, but you can influence their decisions by prioritizing certain tasks or passing Decrees™. The game offers a string of increasingly complex mission-based levels, each with its own specific goals and story. You will follow the story of a cast of lovable, eccentric, and (mostly) well-intentioned town leaders, as they pursue their dreams and whims. You can also take a detour to the Sandbox mode, where you can customize the maps and rules as you please.
The Outlands is a peaceful place, with no wars, raids, or combat of any kind. The many biomes and landscapes are rendered in a crisp and vibrant graphical style, with authentic soundscapes unique to each biome, and an uplifting music soundtrack.
