Each run in our game offers a new and exciting opportunity to try out different monsters and combos. And the best part? It only takes 45 minutes to an hour to complete!
But that's not all - completing a run also unlocks a random monster as a starter option for your next run.
Choose Your Monster
At the start of each run, you have the option to choose a monster as your starter. Don't worry, every monster can be unlocked as a potential starter. As you progress through the game, you'll encounter tombstones with monsters to reanimate and add to your roster. This allows you to craft the perfect 2-monster team for battle.
Choosing a starter monster helps to reduce the randomness between runs, ensuring that you always have a monster you enjoy playing with. But for those who love chaos, there's always the random option!
Strategize Your Moves
Each turn, you start with 3 Action Points (AP). Every move has a cost, and you can use moves from either monster on your team - or both! This allows you to chain together multiple moves and unleash powerful combos to defeat your opponents.
Conquer the Night
The main objective of each night is to return to the Necromancer's Citadel in the middle of the map. Along the way, you'll encounter more monsters to reanimate, powerful move tomes and passives, and unique enemies to face.
But beware, some monsters won't appear in a run until you unlock them by completing certain challenges, such as:
- Using the same move 5 times in a turn
- Dealing 100 damage with a single move
- Using at least 5 different monster team combinations in a single run
- Winning a battle without using any offensive moves
- And many more!
