Dawnsbury Days is a one-of-a-kind game that combines turn-based tactics with CRPG elements. Based on the rules of PF2E, the second edition of a powerful tabletop OGL ruleset, this game follows the adventures of the Dawnsbury Four - a group of young heroes from a small town. As you lead them through 4 character levels and 20 combat encounters, you must use their class, feats, spells, and other abilities to save their home from a variety of dangers.

Tactical Combat

In each turn, you have three actions to spend on various actions such as moving, attacking, casting spells, and more. You can preview the effects and success probability of each action before committing, allowing you to make strategic decisions. With balanced but challenging combat encounters, you must utilize all of your options to succeed on hard difficulty.

Every +1 matters in combat, so buffing your allies and using tactics like demoralizing or flanking your enemies can be more effective than simply making a third attack. The game also offers a cinematic experience, with fast animations and skip-able cutscenes, allowing you to focus on the engaging combat experience.

Alternatively, you can choose an easy difficulty and enjoy the story of the Dawnsbury Four as they face their first real challenges as adventurers.

The Story of the Dawnsbury Four

Seven years ago, the Night of the Shooting Stars brought danger to the small town of Dawnsbury. The nearby volcano continues to erupt, support from neighboring towns has decreased, and kobold brigands terrorize the countryside. To make matters worse, the Golden Candelabra - an artifact that protected Dawnsbury for generations - was lost on that same night.

But now, new heroes may rise up. You play as the Dawnsbury Four, a group of childhood friends who have trained under the mentorship of Roderick. Finally ready to embark on their first quest, they must find and retrieve the Golden Candelabra to bring peace back to their town. However, their journey may only lead to more dangers and reveal the sinister force behind it all.

Accurate to Tabletop

Dawnsbury Days stays true to the rules of PF2E, striving to replicate the experience of playing with friends around a tabletop. The game features turn-based combat on grid-based battlefields, and you can preview and review all dice rolls required for attacks, saving throws, and damage. With a focus on story, characters, and encounter design, this game captures the essence of a tabletop roleplaying game.

Deep Character Customization

With a wide range of options, you can fully customize your characters. Choose their ancestry, heritage, background, class, subclass, ability scores, skills, feats, spells, and items. And that's just at level one! As you level up (up to level 4), you can select additional feats and spells to further customize your character. There are also various weapons, armor, and consumable items to enhance your character's abilities. Alternatively, you can use one of the eight pre-generated characters, complete with items, for a quicker start.

Additional Scenarios and Modding Support

In addition to the main adventure path, you can also play additional scenarios with minimal story but the same engaging gameplay. For an extra challenge and variety, you can download custom encounters created by modders. Dawnsbury Days is fully moddable, allowing you to add custom ancestries, feats, spells, and even variant rules. The game includes documentation on how to create custom mods, including example mods.
