Colonize is a combination of survival and building strategy set in the 17th century. It follows the story of a settlement in the new world and the struggles of the early settlers.
The game is an isometric classic and focuses on the economy, population management, and city building. Players gradually build a settlement, a city-state with its own laws, government, and city management.
External missions are also available to increase the experience. Players can choose a mission in their city, select five inhabitants, and send them into the wilderness! Colonize has six missions and six cities to populate: Jamestown, Bermuda, Salem, Boston, Williamsburg, and Providence. Each city expands the possibilities of the game and increases the difficulty of the conditions, such as the weather, the number of possible expeditions, and the size of the ship used for trading with England.
