Twenty years ago, the supervillains emerged victorious. Since then, they have established a dystopian city where having superpowers is a punishable offense. Despite this, no one has been able to put a stop to them - until now.
Capes is a turn-based superhero strategy game in which you assemble a team of heroes and battle to reclaim the city. You can progress through a series of campaign and patrol missions, or take the time to explore the side missions and unlock more heroes, gain skill points, complete challenges, and learn more about your heroes' lives.
Recruit new heroes with a variety of unique powers and abilities. Each hero plays differently, so you must come up with a new approach to their powers and abilities. Understanding and exploiting each hero's individual play style will increase their strength in combat, allowing them to unleash their own personal, game-changing Ultimates.
Engage in thrilling, heroic, turn-based combat to test your strategic skills. Teamwork and positioning are key, unlocking new ways to tackle every enemy type and supervillain you encounter. Capes combat is not based on random numbers or hiding behind cover. Power does not make you invincible - your decisions will determine victory or defeat.
Take up to four heroes into each mission. Each hero gains a unique team up ability from each of their allies, allowing them to work together to take advantage of their unique powers. Level up your heroes to gain access to new abilities and powerful upgrades. Use Skill Points earned from completing objectives and challenges to unlock their powers. Complete collections of hero-specific challenges during missions to earn bonus Skill Points and unlock optional missions that give a deeper insight into each of the heroes.
