You Are the Prey
Unknown Tapes is a horror game that utilizes the found footage technique to tell a story of survival in a modern world overrun by dinosaurs. Inspired by games like Dino Crisis and Outlast, our game aims for realism.
As the player, you will be hunted by dinosaurs and must use your wits to hide and avoid making noise. However, even buildings may not always provide protection as larger dinosaurs can destroy them.
The game takes place primarily at night, with both outdoor and indoor environments that may induce feelings of claustrophobia.
An Infested Urban World
Thanks to the power of Unreal Engine 5 and the use of photogrammetry, we have recreated detailed urban environments. Ever wondered what it would be like to walk through a town infested with dinosaurs?
Real-Time Voice Detection
Our game features real-time voice detection through the use of a microphone. Dinosaurs can hear your voice in the real world and will react accordingly in the game.
Photogrammetry
We have utilized advanced photogrammetry software to bring real-world objects and environments directly into the game. Many of the things you see in the game actually exist in the real world.
Motion Tracking
Through the use of various software and solutions, we have successfully recreated realistic camera movements by digitizing them and integrating them into the game.
