About the game
Uncover the secrets of the past and the future, and let the environment take you in.The Silent Swan is a first-person narrative experience that follows Mirov, who wakes up seventeen years into the future and enters The Land Beyond the Walls in search of the past he left behind. As he gradually nears the bed of the calamity that struck his home, he gets closer to the truths he is determined to unearth, while a strange uneasiness warns him he best walk back. The story is set in two cities: Urzhum and Sernur, and follows two conflicts: past and future, and two people; Selene and Mirov.
Gameplay-wise, The Silent Swan combines the open levels formula with mechanics of a walking simulator. Players traverse through awe-inspiring, desolate landscapes, great cities and structures that rise through the mist and tear the skies of landscapes never seen before. The massive overworld is defined by the walls and have sparsely located urban areas connected by landbridges—terrestrial bridges rising above the ground—which the player navigates on quicycles. The levels themselves are megalithic urban areas, much larger and expansive than there is any need for, which the player will cross following different objectives, as the story gradually unravels around them.
