From the 1940s to the 1970s, the US government conducted a series of unethical syphilis experiments on unsuspecting Guatemalans. These experiments involved exposing local prisoners to dangerous substances such as drugs, viruses, fungi, asbestos, and dioxins. The prisoners suffered severe physical and psychological injuries, and some even experienced mutations or death.

Sound scary? Well, in "Myst of Guatemala", you will have the chance to uncover the truth behind an abandoned villa in Guatemala and come face to face with something even more terrifying!

What is the game about?

"Myst of Guatemala" is a first-person horror adventure game set in a claustrophobic villa in Guatemala. You play as a brave investigative journalist who receives a distress signal from your long-lost comrade Eddie. As you arrive at the mysterious villa, you are greeted by a huge locked gate and a mailbox oozing with dark red blood.

As you search for your friend and unravel the mystery behind the villa, you must navigate eerie corridors and outsmart monsters in a relentless pursuit. But be warned, no one knows where your journey will lead you!

The game consists of one prologue and four chapters, each with its own horror storyline that will keep you engaged until the very end. With unexpected jump scares, terrifying visuals and animations, and diverse puzzle-solving challenges, "Myst of Guatemala" will test your bravery and wit.

As a creator of horror games, I am always fascinated by scary historical events and imagining even more horrific supernatural events that may have happened behind the scenes of history. When I learned about the real Guatemala Syphilis Experiment, I was immediately drawn to the mysterious and eerie atmosphere of Guatemala. I wanted to conceptualize a horrifying mystery lurking behind this event.

In my imagination, the truth should be bone-chilling and a righteous investigative reporter will go in alone to uncover the secrets hidden in the rainy night with bravery and wit. But what awaits the reporter? That's for you to find out in the game. I have tried to strike a balance between jump scares and an engaging storyline, ensuring that every moment in the game is filled with suspense and meaningful engagement as you uncover the mysteries of Guatemala.
