About the game
STORY
Rome, 4th Century AD. The once powerful Senate has fallen into corruption, losing its influence while Emperor Diocletian and his army reign supreme outside the eternal city.
In a desperate attempt to regain their dominance, the members of the Roman Senate turn to dark magic, summoning an army of undead and demons to fight against the imperial soldiers.
This betrayal of their own emperor causes a rift in the Roman population, who now live in constant fear. Year after year, the Senate's army of undead grows stronger, enslaving the citizens and imposing their will upon the senators.
Amidst this chaos, an ancient gladiatorial school continues to train soldiers for the games. But their purpose has changed - they now fight to rid the city of the undead and invaders, in hopes of restoring Rome to its former glory.
GAMEPLAY
Ludus Mortis is a Grid-Based First Person Dungeon Crawler, drawing inspiration from classic cRPGs of the 80s and 90s.
As a party-based RPG, players can choose from 14 different classes to create their characters. They must also manage and develop their Ludus (Gladiator School), improving facilities, acquiring gladiators, and crafting new equipment.
Exploring catacombs and dungeons, players must carefully manage their party's formation, equipment, and skills in order to defeat the undead and invaders. With turn-based combat, strategic use of Action Points is crucial.
Randomly-generated loot offers thousands of different combinations, providing endless possibilities for players.
