Earth has stopped spinning, and the last human survivors live in a narrow strip of habitable space between a scorching sun and a frozen wasteland. In Last Oasis, a Nomadic Survival MMO, players must constantly move through the massive Open World in search of precious resources. To traverse the world, players use Walkers, wooden, wind-powered machines inspired by Theo Jansen's strandbeests. These siege engines can be adapted for travel, transportation, harvesting, and combat, and can be personalized with a variety of structures, attachments, and upgrades.

The planet is divided into two extreme and deadly environments, with only a small region between the burning and freezing halves able to support life. Nomads must exploit what's left of the world, finding water, hunting creatures, fending off pirates, brewing Vitamins, and uncovering hidden Walker technologies. They can also build autonomous machines to harness the power of the wind, and progress from a ragged trader to a mercenary king, fleet commander, or a wealthy merchant.

Individuals and small groups of players have as many opportunities as clans to thrive. While solo play is always an option, social features like voice chat make it easy to meet new friends and team up. The Flotillans, a faction of Nomads, have declared a large swath of desert a safe zone, where violence between Nomads is prevented. Here, Nomads can trade, socialize, and prepare for journeys into the uncontrolled territories.

Rupu have posed a consistent threat to the survival of Nomads scavenging the sands, but recently they have been spotted wielding Flotillan weapons and repurposing weapons from broken down Walkers. The most terrifying of all, the massive sandworm known as "The Long Ones", are the biggest threats nomads will face. To defeat the worm, experienced nomadic hunters must band together.

Trade networks stretch between the discovered oases, creating a global, player-driven economy. Smart and quick traders can take advantage of supply and demand to make huge profits, while others may opt to hunt down rare schematics or resources. The large, open world is made up of many interconnected oases that are over 100km2 each, and each Oasis offers its own challenges.

Last Oasis features dynamic, skill-based directional melee combat. Nomads can choose from a wide range of one and two-handed swords, maces, axes, and quarterstaves, as well as ranged weapons like ballistas, scattershot guns, repeaters, and giant slingshots. Building and improving a base is an essential part of surviving the harsh world, and grappling hooks are essential tools for every Nomad.

Grow your clan into a political and economic power, and control a region to build alliances and protect your income. Outside of Flotillan territories, Nomads will find a violent and lawless world, inhabited by more fearsome creatures and more savage Nomads. Here, the most hardened and steely-eyed Nomads attempt to make their home for easier access to more valuable resources.
