Game Mode

The game mode of Island Factory offers two options: Plot Mode and Sandbox Mode. Each mode provides a unique experience for players.

Plot Mode

In Plot Mode, players are guided through the game with novice guidance. This mode allows players to quickly learn various operations and equipment functions.

Sandbox Mode

Sandbox Mode offers 4 different difficulty levels and numerous random islands for players to challenge. Each island is generated with different sizes, terrains, minerals, and resources, ensuring a brand-new experience with every playthrough.

Plot Mode Background

The West Island, a small island country, has been forced to relocate due to volcanic activity. However, with limited funds, the island is unable to purchase the necessary land. As the only foreign student on the island, the player must use their knowledge and skills to develop the island and increase its value until enough land can be purchased to accommodate all the islanders.

Islands

In Sandbox Mode, players will encounter numerous random islands. These islands will vary in size, terrain, minerals, and resources, providing a unique challenge each time.

Breeding

Players can cultivate four types of livestock: chickens, ducks, sheep, and cattle. Each type of livestock produces a basic product, such as eggs, duck down, wool, and milk. These products can then be processed into more advanced products, such as cakes, chocolate milk, sweaters, and down jackets. In the future, more types of livestock and processed products will be added.

Planting

There are currently 12 types of plants available, including cocoa, coconut, corn, and cotton. Each plant produces a different primary agricultural product, such as cocoa beans, coconuts, corn, and strawberries. These products can also be processed into more advanced products, such as coconut juice, strawberry jam, and candy. More types of plants and processed products will be added in the future.

Automation

Island Factory features an automatic system that includes various buildings, such as mechanical arms, conveyor belts, separators, factories, and furnaces. These buildings work together to continuously convert raw materials into primary, intermediate, and advanced products.

Minerals

There are six types of minerals available, including oil, coal, iron, and copper. These minerals can be used to create production equipment, as well as daily and industrial products, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, laptops, and motorcycles.

Events

There are 18 random events and 1 series of fixed events in Island Factory. Some events may increase the probability of plant reproduction, while others may decrease the yield. Some events are not affected by environmental pollution, while others are closely related to pollution levels. Players should pay attention to their pollution index if negative events occur frequently.
