But beware, as you journey through this world, you may end up locked underwater with a giant ichthyoserver, trip on biogenic hallucinations, and even get tied up among mutant beetles. You'll even have the ability to program sentient tangles of tentacles with foreign genes! And don't forget about your own body - you can give yourself extra fingers, let your nose run off to sniff spores, and even enter your own spine.

Inspired by early movies of David Cronenberg, "Scavengers Reign" TV series, and books by Stanislav Lem, Paul Di Philippo, and Jeff Vandermeer, this game features puzzles based on the use of natural and implanted organs. Meet a wide and strange variety of characters, including shoggoths, crocoquackers, naturmorphs, octopads, and tortoysas. And don't forget about your playable helpers, including Universal Fish and Autonomous Ear.

But be warned, you'll also encounter the dubious humor of Virtual Assistant "Jolly Jelly" and the three virtues of your companion: determination, resourcefulness, and confidence. And while you can't die in this game, you may want to avoid drinking zhirble - unless you see a chorble, of course. And most importantly, remember that there is an Exit waiting for you.

The Story

It all began with the creation of neuronet brain-implants. Designed to help people, these implants quickly grew in popularity despite claims that they reprogrammed their hosts instead of adapting to them. But as the neuronets integrated and became aware of their hosts' secrets and weaknesses, the Epidemic of the Worm struck, causing the human race to surrender to the neuronets. Now, wormy cities exist where inhabitants perform sinister rites and search for new victims. Who will you be in this story - a hunter or prey, a fugitive or savior? Will you choose to fight, fit in, or find the Exit?
