Survival is all about balance - balancing exploration with expansion and defense. You must ensure your colony has enough power to function while also pushing forward with your exploration efforts. But with each passing storm increasing in intensity, your basic defenses won't hold out forever.

As you progress, you will need to prioritize your actions based on your current situation. Will you search for new technologies and a way off the planet, or focus on setting up defenses for the impending storm? Sacrifices will need to be made, and you must choose which structures to save and which to let the storms destroy.

Build Your Colony from Scratch

Starting with only the scattered remains of your spaceship, you must begin to build your colony piece by piece. In the beginning, you will have access to only basic buildings. But as you explore and uncover ancient relics, deployable technology, and new blueprints, you can construct more advanced and complex structures to aid in your mission.

In addition to buildings, you also have abilities and items at your disposal. Use scanners and drones to reveal unexplored areas, storm dispersers to temporarily stop the storms from striking, terraforming to change the terrain, and dynamite to create pathways through mountains. Each of these has a specific use and can help you escape if used wisely.

Master the Wasteland

To survive, you must become a master of the wasteland. Understanding the dangers you face and how to defend against them is crucial. Each building, deployment, ability, and item has its own unique uses, and mastering their advantages and disadvantages will greatly aid in your survival.
