About the Developer

"Undead Realm:Ego" is the third FMV (full-motion video) game created by the developer, following the success of "Try and Love" and "Back". For those who have played the previous two games, thank you for your continued support. And for those who are new to the developer's work, welcome!

The developer would like to express their gratitude to the hardworking crew who helped bring "Undead Realm:Ego" to life. Despite facing challenges such as sudden drops in temperature and shooting in an abandoned school with no water or electricity, the team persevered and completed the project after several all-nighters. The actors also deserve recognition for their dedication, as they worked tirelessly in less-than-ideal conditions. The developer believes that this team is the hardest-working in the domestic movie-game industry.

The developer's first FMV, "Try and Love", was a learning experience and they would only give it a 2 or 3 out of 10. However, with "Back", their first horror FMV, they were able to improve and give it a 6 out of 10. With "Undead Realm:Ego", the developer believes they have reached a 6.5, with the extra 0.5 being attributed to the cast and crew's hard work and the developer's willingness to try new shooting styles.

While the developer's goal was to create a game that would score above 8, they faced two major challenges. Firstly, writing a script is not easy and good writers and scripts are highly valued. The original plot for "Undead Realm:Ego" was rich, but due to budget constraints, only a fraction of it could be included in the game. This also meant that the shooting time had to be limited, as each day of shooting meant additional expenses for the crew and actors. Secondly, the developer's funds were limited, with their first game, "Try and Love", losing money and "Back" barely breaking even. As a result, the developer had to borrow money to fund "Undead Realm:Ego", but they were cautious not to borrow too much as they have a family to support.

Due to these challenges, the developer acknowledges that the game may not meet everyone's expectations. The horror and supernatural themes may be difficult for the actors to portray, and some players may find their performances funny or fake. However, the developer respects the hard work of the actors and promises to continue using them in future horror FMVs to improve their acting skills. The limited budget also meant that the developer had to make tough choices, such as only being able to do a few takes before running out of time and money. Despite these challenges, the developer is determined to continue creating horror FMVs and is currently working on "Back 2". They welcome feedback and suggestions from players to help improve their future projects.
