GAMEPLAY:
Set entirely within a haunted house, GESTALT: The Fifth Day follows the story of Wickeina 'Wicke' Gestalt, who has inherited the house from a deceased woman she barely knew. As Wicke, players must navigate the everyday oddities and horrors of the house while also trying to balance her day job and deteriorating mental health. Using their wits, pattern-recognition skills, and navigational abilities, players must overcome strange scenarios and become more familiar with the house as they are forced to live in it.
The game takes place over the course of five days spent within the haunted house. Each day, both success and failure will progress the story, giving players one chance per day to try and lead a normal life. The ultimate goal of the game is to help Wicke survive the terrifying horrors within the house and make it through the fifth day.
STORY:
Wickeina 'Wicke' Gestalt's life is anything but ordinary. Not only does she have a full-time job to worry about, but she also lives in a haunted house filled with entities and strange phenomena that seem to be working against her. Inheriting the house from a deceased woman she hardly knew, Wicke has been living in the house for some time now, struggling to find a balance between her job and the horrors of the house. But as her mental state continues to decline, Wicke realizes that she can no longer live a life without control.
As players embark on a five-day journey within the haunted house, they will witness Wicke's struggle to regain control of her life and overcome the terrifying horrors that surround her. Will this be her last chance to break free from the grip of the house and save her sanity? The answer will be revealed on the inevitable fifth day.
