About the game

Galactic Simulator 2: Stargate

Experience the ultimate space adventure in this roguelite simulation game inspired by the Fermi Paradox and the Great Filter. Pilot your ship, gather resources, and build stargates as you explore an ever-evolving galaxy.

Fermi Paradox

Despite our advanced technology, there is no concrete evidence of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth as of 2025. This raises the question, "Where are they?"

Drake Equation

The Drake Equation is a mathematical formula used to estimate the number of detectable extraterrestrial civilizations in the galaxy. It takes into account factors such as the rate of star formation, the number of planets with suitable environments for life, and the probability of intelligent life appearing on those planets.

  • N = The number of detectable extraterrestrial civilizations in the galaxy
  • R* = The rate of formation of stars in the galaxy
  • Fp = The fraction of stars with planetary systems
  • Ne = The number of planets with suitable environments for life
  • Fl = The fraction of suitable planets where organic life appears
  • Fi = The fraction of life-bearing planets where intelligent life appears
  • Fc = The probability of a civilization emitting detectable signals
  • L = The lifespan of a civilization

Galactic Simulator 2: Stargate incorporates all of these components to provide a realistic simulation of extraterrestrial life.

The Great Filter

The Great Filter is a theory that suggests there is a barrier to the development of life that makes it exceedingly rare for detectable extraterrestrial life to exist. This barrier can occur at various stages of evolution, from the earliest stages of abiogenesis to reaching the highest levels of development on the Kardashev scale.

Galactic Simulator 2: Stargate defines the following Great Filters, or evolutionary stages:

  • Suitable stellar systems and potentially habitable planets
  • Organic molecules
  • Prokaryotic cells
  • Eukaryotic cells
  • Multicellular organisms
  • Intelligent organisms
  • Tribal stage
  • Civilizational stage

Each of these stages presents a probability for civilizations to fail, making the existence of advanced extraterrestrial life even more rare.

Explore the Galaxy

With each planet having its own unique appearance and real-world physical data, the galaxy in Galactic Simulator 2: Stargate is a vast and diverse place to explore. Use stargates to connect stars and travel from your homeworld to distant planets.

Compete with players worldwide by climbing the leaderboards and showcasing your unique planet. Will you be the first to discover a new civilization?
