About the game
A Unique Variant of Checkers: Irregular Grid Edition
Checkers, also known as Draughts, is a classic game that has been enjoyed for centuries. However, we have taken it to the next level with our new variant - Irregular Grid Checkers.
Unlike the traditional game played on a regular grid, our version features an irregular grid where each cell can have between 6 and 10 neighbors. This means that tiles can have 3 or 5 diagonals, providing players with a wider range of moves and making the game more challenging.
With this new grid, players can no longer rely on the same mental tricks to defeat their opponent. It also makes it harder to anticipate their opponent's moves, adding an element of surprise to the game.
Procedurally Generated Grids
In our Irregular Grid Checkers, the grids are procedurally generated for each game. This means that there are hundreds of different grids to play on, making each game unique and exciting.
Pre-Selected Boards
To help players ease into this new variant, we have pre-selected some boards that are similar to a regular grid. This allows players to get a feel for the game before trying out the more challenging grids. We have also included some very different boards for those who want to test their strategic skills.
Starting a Game
When starting a new game, players have the option to choose from different modes:

- 2 players on the same device
- 2 players online
Online Multiplayer
For those who want to challenge other players online, our game offers a multiplayer option. Players can first check if any rooms created by other users are available. If not, they can create their own room.
Players have the choice to make their room public or private. A public room allows any player to join, while a private room requires a code to be shared with the desired opponent (via WhatsApp, email, etc.).
