CAMP Z: THE AWAKENING

Overview:

In an alternate history, it is 1945 and Hitler has won the war by creating a new breed of soldiers known as the Binary Super Soldiers. These soldiers are a combination of animal and human DNA, with the first being a half man, half German Shepherd. They quickly overpowered the world's warriors and continued to be experimented on, resulting in the creation of the Binary Elite. You are the chosen one, the first Binary Elite Super Soldier, designed to help Hitler's reign last forever. But will you comply? Absolutely not. In the campaign mode, "The Awakening," you will discover your true identity and the Führer's plans for you. As you fight your way through obstacles and other Binary Super Soldiers, you will also learn about the other three Binary Elite: Grizz (The Bear), Carol ("The Stork"), and Hanz ("The Shepherd"). In DEFIANCE MODE, an infinite-round horde survivor game mode, you can choose to play as any of the four Binary Elite (Harey, Carol, Grizz, or Hanz). Each character has their own unique abilities, weapons, and special ability. You can also team up with up to three friends and each choose your own character to play in DEFIANCE MODE.

Design:

Camp Z is a 2D side scrolling strategic shooter set in an alternate history of WWII. The levels and characters are designed in a unique collage style, accompanied by a simple user-interface and bold typography. You will have two primary weapons, a melee weapon, and a special ability. If playing with a controller (X-Box recommended), the controls will feel familiar to those who have played FPS games. The game also features a custom soundtrack that was specifically created for the different rooms and story themes in "The Awakening." The intensity of the music increases as you progress through DEFIANCE MODE, with the most difficult rounds featuring the main theme song.

• Camp Z: The Awakening was created by two people with the help of one amazing music composer.
• DEFIANCE MODE is never-ending, allowing players to compete for the highest round and fastest completion time on the leaderboard.
• The first version of the main theme song was created by the game's founder at 2 AM after playing "Papers Please" for hours.
• Camp Z is a work of fiction set in a historical context, meant to honor those who fought for freedom during WWII. It is not meant to glorify evil, but rather to honor the ongoing fight against it.
• The creator of Camp Z intends to continue building the world and story, inspired by their grandfathers who both fought in WWII and all those who continue to fight for good to prevail.
