The World is Forever Changed
In December of 2019, a viral infection swept through Tokyo, leaving devastation in its wake. The disease rapidly spread throughout the country, claiming the lives of 40% of those infected - a higher fatality rate than even Ebola. International travel was heavily restricted, and even the city's main transportation systems came to a halt.
As a result, Tokyo was completely cut off from the rest of the world.
With no effective cure in sight, the virus began to spread from the general population to medical professionals, law enforcement, and even government officials. The prime minister, chief cabinet secretary, and other key bureaucrats all fell victim to the virus, leaving the country in chaos. The death toll had already surpassed 200,000.
In the midst of this crisis, a new government was hastily formed to take control. The infectious disease specialist who discovered a cure for the virus was chosen as the new prime minister, in recognition of his heroic efforts to save lives. Under his leadership, a series of successful measures were implemented to combat the disease and revive the economy. Finally, the number of infected individuals began to decrease.
And so, after a long and arduous battle, the pandemic finally came to an end.
