About the game
Narrative
In the recently abandoned village of NaniNani Mura, the last in a lineage of pure monks named Chado-san embarks on a journey to uncover the mysteries surrounding his past. As a child, he was sent away to Tokyo and now returns to his childhood home to find it deserted and in ruins. He longs to reunite with his childhood friend and understand why the villagers have all fled.
However, Chado-san soon discovers that the village is haunted by a legendary Spirit known as Hachishaku. This powerful entity is drawn to his pure energy and will stop at nothing to capture him. It is up to Chado-san to protect his purity and find a way to escape Hachishaku's grasp.
Gameplay
Hachishaku is a stalker horror style game where players must navigate the abandoned village, searching for answers and clues. Along the way, they must also find and return the 5 sacred jizo to their shrines in order to appease the spirits and progress in the game.
Players can also collect money to purchase various costumes, accessories, and hair styles for Hachishaku, who stands at a towering 8 feet tall. By reading journals and notes left by the villagers, players can uncover the truth about the village's past and the role of Hachishaku in its downfall. They can also find photographic evidence of the Spirit, long forgotten by time.
Launch Content and Update Plans!
At launch, the game will include 10 costumes, 6 hair styles, and a variety of accessories and hats for players to purchase with in-game coins. However, the developers have plans to add even more options in the future. Additionally, an upcoming update will introduce the Gravure Mode, allowing players to peacefully interact with Hachishaku in her secret hideout.
