Vivat Slovakia: A Wild 90s Adventure

Vivat Slovakia is an open-world video game set in the newly established democratic country of Slovakia, located at the border of Western and Eastern Europe. However, the remnants of communism still linger, resulting in weak state enforcement agencies and deep-rooted corruption. In this lawless era, money and violence reign supreme, earning it the fitting nickname - the wild 90s.

Wild 90s in Bratislava:

• The streets are controlled by powerful mob gangs, who operate with the protection of the law and are not afraid to flaunt their power even in broad daylight.
• Racketeering, car explosions, and other violent methods of settling scores are a daily occurrence.
• These gangs have also become useful to the government's elites, who utilize them for their dirty work.

As the saying goes back home, the line between the secret service and organized crime has become blurred. Political parties that were once opposing each other are now working hand in hand to gain money and power. For the ordinary citizen, connections are crucial for success, and the saying "You don't have what you don't steal" has become widely known.

Not Your Typical Gangster Open-World:

In Vivat Slovakia, players take on the role of a bald man in his 30s, working for the secret police. As an undercover taxi driver, you are free to roam the city and keep a close eye on people of interest.

• The game map covers approximately 10 km2 of the bustling city of Bratislava.
• Vivat Slovakia offers over 20 story missions, based on real events that took place in the 90s in the young Slovak Republic after the split of the Czechoslovak Federation.
• The game features professional Slovak voice-over, with the main character voiced by Marián Labuda. English subtitles are also available for Erasmus participants and immigrants from the Iron Curtain period.
• Players can choose from over 30 unique period vehicles, inspired by their real-life counterparts. From old socialist scrap to exclusive imported cars that only the bosses could afford.
• There are also more than 5 functional and carefully selected local weapons. In Slovakia, you won't be hit over the head with a baseball bat, but rather a telescopic baton.
• Experience the glory of a Slavic open-world from the unique perspective of a secret police officer.

Vivat Slovakia is also made possible thanks to successful crowdfunding, with many players having their own mini-stories incorporated into the game or appearing as NPCs while walking around Bratislava or driving public transport.

We have even transformed real businesses and homes of our players into the game, creating a unique form of product placement.

The game also features a musical LFO radio, with period music curated by DJs and speakers from radio _FM Yanko Kral and Subtension. There is also a talk radio segment featuring stand-up comedians from Silné Reči, as well as the option to create a custom radio station with your own music.

In collaboration with the dog shelter Sloboda Zvierat, players can choose their own four-legged companion from 14 different breeds available in the game.
