About the game
Contraband Police: Prologue is a 5-day training program at a border station, where you will be instructed by Commissioner Andreyev and learn the main game mechanics. It is 1981 and you are a young officer trainee assigned to a post in the Karikatka mountain region. Entry into the Acarist People's Republic is strictly regulated and your actions are monitored. During one of the interventions, your comrade is killed, escalating the situation at the border.
You must ensure that all visitors have the correct documents, and any discrepancies will result in refusal of entry. As time passes, the number of documents will increase and errors will be harder to detect. Intelligence will provide information about suspicious drivers, and you must use a UV flashlight and the appropriate tools to search their vehicles and confiscate any contraband. In some cases, you may be forced to use firearms to protect your station from Oberankov's gang attacks.
You must also be prepared to pursue and arrest smugglers who attempt to escape the control zone. Buy and upgrade police cars to make your pursuit more effective. Upgrade your police station to increase its defenses and improve inspections, but keep in mind the cost of maintenance. You can earn cash through successful inspections, foiled smuggling and successful interventions.
